Questions and answers about SendSuite
Updated
SendSuite is completely free. It sends personalized emails from your templates through your own Gmail account, with a permission that can send but can’t read your mail, and it sends up to 500 emails in any 24 hours.
Price and sign-in
Is SendSuite free?
Yes. SendSuite is completely free, the web app and the Chrome extension alike. There is no paid plan.
What do I need to use SendSuite?
A Google account with Gmail. You sign in with Google, and Google asks you to let SendSuite send email as you. The Chrome extension also needs Chrome 116 or later.
Does SendSuite work with Outlook or other email accounts?
No. SendSuite sends through Gmail only. You sign in with a Google account, and every email goes out from that account’s Gmail address.
Gmail and privacy
Can SendSuite read my email?
No. The only Gmail permission SendSuite asks for is gmail.send, which lets it send email from your address. It can’t read, list or delete your mail.
Who do the emails come from?
From your own Gmail address. Each email goes out through your Gmail account and appears in your Sent folder, and replies come back to your inbox. Each recipient gets their own email.
What does SendSuite store?
Your Google name, email address and photo, the Google tokens that let it send for you (encrypted), your sender name and signature, your templates and their attachments, the values of fields you mark “remember”, and your sign-in sessions. SendSuite doesn’t store the addresses you send to or the content of the emails you send. Its send records hold when you sent, which template, whether it worked and Gmail’s message ID, and are deleted after 12 months.
Does SendSuite track opens or clicks?
No. SendSuite adds no tracking pixel and doesn’t rewrite your links. Activity shows how many emails went out each day, which template sent them and whether any failed.
Can I use SendSuite for health information?
SendSuite is not a HIPAA-covered service and doesn’t sign business associate agreements (BAAs). Keep patient-specific information out of templates, and put it in fields that are filled in when you send.
Sending and limits
How many emails can I send a day?
Up to 500 in any 24 hours. The emails also count toward Gmail’s own sending limits, and Gmail may refuse a message for its own reasons. When an email fails, SendSuite tells you which one, so you can fix it and try again.
How many people can one send go to?
Up to 1,000, typed or pasted into To or read from the rows of a CSV file. Each person gets their own email, sent 10 at a time, within the limit of 500 emails in any 24 hours.
Can I check an email before it goes out?
Yes. The preview shows the exact email, with its subject and every field filled in, and “Send test to me” sends it to your own address first.
Can I attach files?
Yes. Files attached to a template go with every email sent from it, and you can add files to a single send. One file can be up to 4 MB, and one email can carry up to 10 files and 10 MB in total. Each account can store up to 25 MB of attachments.
Templates and fields
What can a field in a template be?
Text, an email address, a date, a time or a choice from a list you set up. A template can have up to 30 fields, and a field can remember its last value so it comes back filled in next time.
How do dates and times appear in the email?
Each date field prints in the format you choose: 11/09/2026, 09/11/2026, 2026-11-09 or November 9, 2026. Times print in 12-hour (2:30 PM) or 24-hour (14:30) form.
How many templates can I have?
Up to 50 per account. You can start from a ready-made template (Appointment reminder, Follow-up, Receipt and Information request) or write your own.
Mail merge from a CSV
Does SendSuite do mail merge from a CSV file?
Yes. Pick a CSV file or paste rows from a spreadsheet, and SendSuite matches the columns to your template’s fields by name, lets you check any row’s email, then sends one personalized email per row while you watch the progress.
What should the CSV file look like?
One row per person, under a header row, with a column of email addresses. Columns named like your fields match on their own, and “Download a blank CSV” gives you a file with the template’s columns in place. Dates can be written as YYYY-MM-DD, MM/DD/YYYY, MM-DD-YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, DD-MM-YYYY or YYYYMMDD.
Can I send from Google Sheets or Excel?
Yes. Save the sheet as a CSV file, or copy its rows and paste them into SendSuite. A plain list of addresses, one per line, works too.
The Chrome extension
Is there a Chrome extension?
Yes. The SendSuite extension opens in Chrome’s side panel, next to the page you have open. Pick a template, fill in the fields and send it from your Gmail without leaving the page.
Does the extension read the pages I visit?
No. It has no content scripts, so it doesn’t read or change any page, and it connects only to www.sendsuite.us. It asks Chrome for three permissions: storage, the side panel and access to www.sendsuite.us.
Your account
How do I delete my account?
In Settings. Deleting your account deletes everything immediately and revokes SendSuite’s access to your Google account. You can also remove that access yourself at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
What can’t I send with SendSuite?
Spam, email to people who haven’t agreed to hear from you, and anything unlawful, deceptive, harassing or harmful. The terms also ask you to follow the anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to your email, and SendSuite may limit or suspend an account that breaks them.
How do I contact SendSuite?
Write to contact@sendsuite.us.
